it has come to my attention of 2 websites that (in a way) support abandonware
Angernet.org has games cd's and movies free downloads cd iso's

also http://3dshooterlegends.6x.to/ has just a reveiw, demo, and fulldemo cd iso or full version on almost every single first person shooter that has ever exsited since id software made hovertanks the first fps for pc or ever
they mirror and on a few, for some stranged reason it sent me to yahoo. watch out when illegaly downloading
you can be fined heavily

duke nukem and redneck rampage cd iso's will send you to yahoo.

has return to castle wolf and a lot of duke, doom, and quake total conversion games

I have not had this experience, however, I have adbrite blocked with noscript in Firefox. Dosgamer is allowed, though.

I know too many people that have had viruses go undetected and cause major damage while using AVG anti virus. I much prefer Avast home edition which is also free.

Yeah, those are pretty good sites. You should also check out Maxgrab.org. They've got a lot of cool games, movies, music and apps.

i checked maxgrab.org but i didn't like it too much
it's in a forum, and that makes it harder to find your game that you need not organized

Yeah, none of those sites seemed right for me. Dosgamer is my favorite so far.

Really? Do you know which viruses they had? Because, you know, I am a raging paranoiac. (Not kidding. I just happy to know what kind of crazy I am and can sometimes keep a lid on the irrationality of it.)

I can't recall the names, but they were all worms that hid in the memory and then attacked the Windows system files from there. My brother's computer was so bad that the entire system would lock up as soon as Windows started up. I had to pull his hard drive and put it in my computer as a slave drive, run my scanner on it to remove all traces of the virus from it. Even then the damage to his system files was so extensive that the hard drive needed to be reformatted and have Windows reinstalled. He never bothered to make a backup of his hard drive, so every thing he had saved for his college classes was lost.He now uses Avast, which was able to remove the worm from his memory, and is much more careful about what he downloads from p2p networks.

You can type the name of what your looking for into their search engine and it will bring up the posts that have what you're looking for. That's how I got my Yuri's Revenge expansion for Red Alert 2, Carmageddon Splat Pack and Mechwarrior 3.
