Warning, really long post.

Recently, I bought the Space Quest Collection (take that people who say that people won't pay for these games if they are available for free). It made me very happy. I know some people had problems with it, but I love the darn thing. However, as I have said before on other boards, Quest for Glory is still my favorite from Sierra. So I was disappointed when Space and Police Quest were available in repackaged collection formats, but Quest for Glory was not.

So I called Vivendi and got no response. So I called again, and again, and again. I eventually looked up executives since whoever I talked to could or would not tell me how I could get an answer about whether Quest for Glory would ever be collected again. I called the president's office and I finally got an answer. (BTW, he was really nice).

The issue had come up in meetings about repackaging Quest for Glory, however, there was some issue as to whether or not to revise and update the game.

I hope they don't do that. I like the game as it is. However, I understand the reasoning for it. Personally, if they do decide to update the darn things, I hope they just update the graphics and that's it. I think the gameplay should be left alone, simply because it is so easy to screw up gameplay and how the game is played is a huge contributor to whether or not a game is great. All the pretty graphics in the world cannot make-up for crappy gameplay.

Don't you just hate it when they change something that was good into something thats crap depending on what it is but then again when I saw a vid on youtube that was the beta version of Duke Nukem 3d I was shocked with those changes like with the elevator originally when you use the elevator it had a display where it showed two arrows and both showed what direction you wanted to go which I was surprised that they took that out in the full game release.
