I have just registered with this site and would like to say great job to the creators of the site.

I haver a question though, and this is a genuine query simply because Im curious; what is the legal position on abandonware? i read somewhere (wikipedia i think) that lucasarts in particular are quite strict about even their old titles and it made me wonder if downloading games from sites such as this is ok to do?

would appreciate it if anyone can enlighten me on this?
