You mean to tell me that no one here - on a DOS gaming website - has any opinion on this at all?

If there is something you want to talk about then just make sure that it is at least about dos/games I mean the hardware sounds nice and seems to have caught my interest a bit, but make certain that its about whats on this website or dos.

OK, I understand the reasoning to build a dos system. But the best thing to do in my opinion is to install windows 95/98 as a multiboot.

I have a P4 2.8, 1Gb Ram, 4x120Gb & 2x40Gb HDDs
It's a vista/win98 multiboot, It runs most games flawlessly even under windows, and if a game runs to fast i just open a couple of copies of winamp and load 700mb .avi files in them, that slows it down tremendously.

Bearing in mind some dos games need powerful cpu's for graphics.

Also 99% of CDrom drives work under dos with one CD driver, the other 1% work with another commonly available one, either way there not usually a problem, even bluray and hd-dvd drives will initalise with them.

Just make sure if you only have one hard drive to format it to FAT or FAT32 not NTFS.

The only thing I checked when i bought the motherborad was if there is a "Sounblaster legacy" option in the bios

Hey martin I like the specs on your pc, because the specs on my computer is a 2.4Ghz processor with only 512mb of RAM a 128mb Radeon 9200 series videocard which is good for running games from the 90's up to 2004 or 2005, but its obsolete for running the more current games such as Pray or Crysis it could barely run Farcry if it was in medium detail so I had to put all the viedo settings on low, but what I did to keep the looks of the skins was that I put the character detail on a high setting and it worked, because the game still ran smoothly.

I got same video card, vista drivers are a nightmare :(
The Win98 ones are just very buggy.

He's still cool anyways and this site is better than any other. I would not have to go against that, but whatever you do what you wish . Zeon56639129.9011574074

Besides what the heck is the difference between a nerd and a geek aren't they both practically the same thing.

i always thought that nerd and geek are the same.

Bearing in mind most of the time when i visit dgz i'm at work which i call playing the system, because i'm getting 'paid' to work on dgz.

When im out of work, im never home i spend more time drinking tea and smoking pot, which isn't the stereotype geek by anyones standards.

See even nerds know how to have fun even while at work which what makes nerds different from anyone is the way how they do things and how they comprehend pieces of information together and come up with different ideas that could become useful. It doesn't matter what anyone says a nerd is a nerd and a geek is a nerd I don't really care what eople call them but they are people to and we need to respect their space and be respectful of one another.
