I just downloaded Might and Magic III:Isles of Terra.  It seems to be missing an .exe file.  The only .exe file is the install.exe. Any thoughts?

run the install program under a dosbox session. This will install the game to Dosbox's virtual C drive.

Thanks for the response but,
I installed the program in DOSBox and it appeared to install correctly but when I typed the "dir" command the only file with an .exe was the "install.exe" file.
Perhaps the file I downloaded was incomplete.  Would it make a difference which mirror I used?

Thanks

OK, having had a coulple of spare minutes at work i downloaded it (from the freewebtown mirror).  The game has to be installed from floppy disk. I have none lying around but from the naming schme i would guess u need 3 disks (or one if you keep deleting the files). I THINK, and its only a THINK!

Disk 1
 INSTALL.EXE
 M&M_III_.1
 MM3.NWC
 MM3.PT0
 MM3.PT1

Disk 2
 M&M_III_.2
 M&M_III_.3
 MM3.PT2
 MM3.PT3

Disk 3
 M&M_III_.4
 M&M_III_.5
 MM3.PT4

Now thats only a guess if u have a usb drive, and you know how to change ur drive letters in xp u can copy all the files onto it and run them.

I'll fire up my dos comp and upload the 'installed' files later in the week.

Thanks, Martin.  I got it to work.  You were correct in that it wants to install from a floppy.  I copied ALL the files to a memory stick and installed it from there.
I posted a comment giving instuctions, for future users.

Thanks again,
Tyro
