having trouble with this..

when i try to write the teledisk file to a floppy disk, it always encounters bad sectors (anyone made a successful copy yet?)

any help on this?

the type of DOS used was some kind of weird dos specifically made by sir-tech to boot the wizardry 1 game way back in 1980 something.. (any help on how to do this?)

Have you tried downloading it again or did you look in windows explorer and see if the files were there.

I've downloaded it three times now and it still won't work!

I wonder if it's just missing files, hasn't there been a few probs with that on here before?

Thanks anyway, hope it's sorted out soon though...

managed to use an XP machine to make the disk.. but i hit a bum sector early in the process (so was expecting troubles) the game disk works (boots up) but when i go to make the scenario disk it always hits me with "unable to M)ake disk" (and aborts procedure)

ANY HELP? has anyone got this working yet?

after much more fiddling.. seems to be something to do with the type of disks i'm using... the original was a 360k disk..

the write procedure is always failing on a 1.44 formatted disk (if i use my win 98 pc) -- it did write marginally better on a XP machine (but that went berserk at my 720k format attempts)

back on my win98 machine, tried 720k format.. A PERFECT WRITE (but aaargh!!) an imperfect read when the game booted (read/write error message straight away) -- it's completely reversed itself?

going around in circles...

at least i'm making some small progress... don't be afraid to reply, folks

i grabbed the img formats of the game from retrograde, and used img2dsk utility to convert them back into disks.. it worked..

img2dsk (img format) seems better than teledisk (td0 format), so try that..

thanks for all your help, bwahaha!
