Tstar V 4.0 QUICK TIPS SUMMARY.  - YOU CAN PRINT THIS OUT FOR REFERENCE IF YOU WISH.

                       Synchronise a track.                  Tracks Fnn button. Select shift track. See section 10 of trouble.txt .
                       (due to latency).
                       Delete audio section.                  Show waveform. (Fnn). Hold left button down and drag to right and let up.
                       Set Pan & Volume.                    Tracks top grey area for pan, bottom grey area for volume. Just Click.
                       Page through waveforms.            Back, Fwd,  M- and M+ buttons.
                       Rapidly go to a wave time.          P button. Enter time and click show waves only.
                       Rapidly go to zero.                      P button. Leave time blank.  Click show waves only.
                       Play all tracks waveforms.            P all button. Also stops. Usefull if you dont want to set a punch in.
                       Play mix from a time.                   Click From time box while playing (for next play) OR use P button.
                       Delete audio from a time to          Click on waveform for start time . Click DA - delete all.
                       end of track.
                       Silence audio from a time to         Click on waveform for start time. Click SA - silence all.
                       end of track.
                       Cut/delete audio range.                 Click on waveform where you want cut to start and again for end.
                                                                            Click DR - delete range.
                       Silence audio range.                       As in last operation but click SR - silence range . NO CUT.
                       Reverse audio range.                     Click for start , and again for end. Click RR - reverse range.
                       Copy/paste range(same track)        Click where you want copy to start , and again for end.
                                                                             Then a third click where you want copy pasted to.
                                                                             Click PR. - paste range.
                      Copy/paste range(different track).    As for last item - but for third click - click on the destination tracks
                                                                              waveform where you want paste to start.
                       Paste many times.                            complete interval(between each paste)  and no of paste boxes.
                                                                                OR - enter a number in BPM (beats per minute) AND Mins.

                      Boost volume of range.                     Click on waveform twice for start and end of range, enter a per cent
                                                                              in V++ box and click V++.
                      Cut volume of range.                        Click twice as before to identify range start and end, enter per cent
                                                                              in V-- box and click V--.
                     Paste external sample or loop.           Copy samples to Mysong dir using windows explorer.
                     (mono 44.1k 16 bit)                           Rename each SP01 thru' SP99 or as many as you need.
                                                                               Click on a SP speed button or enter sample id in BOX and click BOX.
                                                                                Speed button turns red.
                                                                                Make sure you have recorded a blank track. Show its
                                                                                blank waveform then right click over waveform with mouse to
                                                                                paste (red button highlighted) sample.
                                                                                Once sample is pasted you can use all normal range functions
                                                                                DA thru' PR. (click on speed button to turn off feature.)
                     Playback Mix  in Mono.                      Click on Mono(turns red.) Click on it again to go back to stereo.
                     Record stereo track.                           Make sure you have recorded T01 - the reference track first -
                                                                                you can leave it blank if you want. Then click the ST button.
                                                                                Click STOP to stop stereo recording. Then DST to move
                                                                                stereo track to tracks 13 and 14. Then using explorer you can
                                                                                 copy 13 and 14 to other free tracks and record another stereo track.
                                                                                 DST deletes stereo track. Use DST once you have moved stereo
                                                                                  to 13 and 14.
                     Create CD quality stereo master          Two ways. Click PLAY (make sure your at zero marker - click the
                     for pressing or for distribution.              zero button) and play out to your external dat machine OR
                                                                                 click MIXDOWN . Due to PC speed this will take a minute or more.
                                                                                 Look in Mysong Dir and you will see Mix.wav is created -
                                                                                  THIS IS YOUR STEREO MASTER.
                    Play mixed stereo master.                      Click MP to start and stop playback of the master.
                    UNLIMITED TRACKS.                       Having created stereo master - click MX --> 1/2 which will
                                                                                   move master to tracks T01 and T02. Then start recording
                                                                                  again on tracks T03 thru' T14 after deleting the previous tracks
                                                                                  or moving them to another part of your system.
                                                                                   Repeat process as many times as you like.
                   Show 1 second waveform.                       Click on a 3 second waveform at the second you want
                                                                                   displayed, and click the 1 sec button. to display.
                                                                                    To delete a section of one second. Hold down mouse button ,
                                                                                     drag to right and let up button.
                   Punch in record or playback.                     Punch in record works for T02 to T14. Click on P - enter
                                                                                    a time . Click set new punch in. Next record or playback
                                                                                    will be from time entered. Click zero button to reset to zero.
                   Use external audio editor.                          Click the settings button (S) - enter EXACT PATH.
                                                                                     To call exterrnal editor click O button. Also used to call
                                                                                      windows mixer, explorer, and notepad.
                   enter registration code.                                Click on G button and enter code you were sent , as a result
                                                                                       of registering Tstar.
                   New Features.                                            Click on N button for a summary of new features in each release.

                  Mouse free recording.                                  Click one of F 1 thru' F 12 and recording will start after a dealay
                                                                                      to let you get comfortable with your instrument.
                   Insert an audio track from                            Copy the track to Mysong Dir using explorer, and rename it
                   another program.                                         as a free T01 thru' T14 or even ST for stereo. (44.1K/16 bit only.)
                                                                                       THEN in the Tstar main display click on the relevant rec box, and
                                                                                       it will turn blue. You can now set pan and vol and mix it in,
                                                                                       and use all the other Tstar editing features.
                  Name a track.                                               Double click on Track nn , it will turn a different hue, and just
                                                                                       type the name for session duration. Hit return.
                   Song time. .                                                 When you reach the end of the song - and click STOP.
                                                                                       The elapsed time will be your song length.
                   Doing effects cheaply.                                    There is an easy way in Tstar. Use windows explorer
                                                                                         to copy a track. Rename the copy as a free Tnn.
                                                                                          Click on the copied tracks Fnn button select shift track.
                                                                                          Insert about 2000 samples. Then start experimenting
                                                                                           with deleting 100 samples at a time using shift track on the copy.
                                                                                          Set the volume of the copy under the original and you'll get
                                                                                           numerous effects.
                    Register Tstar.                                               Print out registration form, enter your name and address, and
                                                                                         send it with 20 dollars to the PO box address on the form.
