Thank You for downloading second release of the Galactic Federation Test Demo.
Galactic Federation will be the next geneartion space compat simulator.
This demo is for testing purpose only, it's in early alpha stage,
far from finished project, and should not be judged different.


CURRENT WORK:

Many standard space sim features have been implemented so far.
Yet there is lot more to be done. I was working on a realistic damage model,
creating my own geometry modification functions, but since it's very complex
it needs more work and it's not ready for this release.
Also ship to ship bumping needs little more work, so ship to ship
collisions are disabled in this demo.
There is six ships in the demo. I've took 3 from free space2, for demonstration,
because my own ships don't have nice textures yet.
Anyway expect some great features in the next releases.


NOTES:

You must have DirectX 8.1 instaled on your system in order to run this demo.
To change display mode edit manualy config.txt, you may also set fullscreen,
v-sync, and T&L on and off by typing 1 or 0 below string.
Game curently does not like task swiching, so if you are
in fullscreen mode do not pres alt+tab or winkey. Using 16 bpp modes will
enable 16 bit z-buffer, while 32 bpp will use much better 24-bit z-buffer.
This Demo is limited to 6 diferent ship types.
If you expirience some crashes during gameplay send me log.txt file together
with your system specs. On the bottom of this file is a list of key functions
for debuging and testing purposes only. They allow you to enable/disable collision
tests, wireframe mode, change time speed, etc. Collision might be wery CPU intensive,
disable them to gain some fps, but then you won't be able to hit anything.

64 MB system RAM
Direct3D 8 or 8.1 compatible 3D accelerator with 32Mb (GeForce2 or higher recommended)
Joystick (not required)
