Mid for the Edition fields.
Bottom
for the Database Display.

Checking Hide Display will hide the database display. Only the
Top and Middle areas will be shown. Uncheking it will show the three areas.
This feature makes the interface compact so you can place it everywhere on the screen while working with other applications. You can also set it to be
on top of other applications if necessary.

  Tag Coloring
When you click on an input field tag, the information from the input field will be copied to the windows clipboard and the tag on that field will change color to blue.

The data contained on the clipboard can then be pasted elsewhere. - ie: another application, document, etc -

To clear the data contained on the clipboard click the small trashcan shown on the right side next to the
Clipboard holds legend.

  Auto Hide
Intelipass interface is divided in three areas.

Unchecking it returns it to normal display mode.

To make the database display visible when the program is set to Auto Hide, position the mouse near the interface's lower edge. If it does not show, slowly move the mouse along the edge.

  Inteli Browser

InteliBrowser is InteliPass custom Web browser.
InteliBrowser can be used whenever you want to surf the web. But it main purpose is to work jointly with Intelipass to increase security while you work online.

InteliBrowser display is tailored to make a better use of the screen space.
Although it does not have the surfer's functionality as a traditional browser has. It has enough functions to let you navigate with ease.

Launching

To launch InteliBrowser selec InteliBrowser from the File menu.
Additionally you can select a service from the database and click over the
Path legend. A small menu will ask you if you want to open InteliBrowser or your registered Windows Internet Browser.
For this function to work, an Internet address has to be shown on the
Path field.

Resizing Inteli Browser:
The regular resizing controls (Upper-Right corner buttons) are provided for compatibility with regular windows applications and ease of use.
For more precise resizing, position the mouse over any of the browser edges. A Crossed Arrows icon will appear on the lower right corner.
Move the mouse to the crossed arrows. left-click over and drag the mouse without releasing the button. Release when the optimal size was reached. If the mouse moves fast, the browser screen edge will follow to the mouse position.

Theater mode:

  1. Locate the monitor icon (upper-left corner).
  2. Click on the icon. (left or right button work the same)
  3. Locate Theater mode on the popup menu and click on it.

This will maximize InteliBrowser to it maximum size which is equal to the maximum size your monitor can display. InteliBrowser controls will be also reconfigured and repositioned to provide a better working environment.
Note: Theater mode is not the same as Maximized mode. On Maximized mode, InteliBrowser will not reposition controls.

If you are in this mode and want to go back to regular size mode (default mode) left-click on the monitor icon (now repositioned on the lower-left corner)

Navigating:
Addresses to navigate can be told to Inteli Browse in two ways.

  1. Typing a URL into the Path: input line found at top of Inteli Browser.
  2. Selecting InteliBrowser by left-clicking on the Path tag on InteliPass.

If using option 2. The Username and Password for the chosen service can be found on InteliBrowser top bar. This is just a functionality commodity so the information you need to log into the service is right at your sight.
There are Three buttons which are not found on a conventional Internet browser. One is a document with a letter
U another with a P and the last with three asterisks. Where U stands for Username, P for Password and the asterisks represent information consealed.

As you can guess, the asterisks button is used to conseal the Password.
Moving the mouse over the
U and P buttons will show a tag with the apropriate information for that button. Note that if you push over the asterisks button the passwords will be shown as an array of asterisks or the password itself depending on the position of the asterisks button.

If you need to transfer your Username and/or Password to the form to log into the service you are browsing, click on the U button and the Username contained will be copied to the clipboard. Then paste on the form as usual. - Ctrl v -
P
button has the same functionality.

The button to the right next to the asterisks button is used to discard the information that U and P buttons hold. This may be useful if you want to keep navigating with InteliBrowser but no longer need the information those buttons contain. Clicking on this button does not affect the information on InteliPass.

Moving InteliBrowser:

  1. Click on the Top Bar. (there is no need to keep the mouse button depressed)
  2. Move the mouse to a new position.
  3. Click on the Top Bar to release.

  ClipBoard Trashcan on InteliBrowser
This shows the content of the clipboard.
If it holds either your Username or Password a reminder will be displayed.
This function was implemented to enhace your protection due to the fact that many times one forgets a password on the clipboard and then paste it on the wrong screen and some times it is shown in public (in a chat room for example).

If the clipboard holds any information captured by other application other than InteliPass, the ClipBoard Trashcan may say 'Nothing'. Be careful with this because if you captured a password from another application, InteliPass has no way to know the clipboard contains this type of sensitive information.

InteliPass can only tell if it is a Password or Username ONLY if it was captured from within InteliPass.

Clicking on the Trashcan Icon will clear up the clipboard. Whatever it was holding, captured from InteliPass or from another application will be cleaned up.

  Remote Capture

Enabling this function will automatically capture words or lines of text from other applications and import them to InteliPass.

To capture a Username:

  1. Enable Remote Capture
  2. Click on the Username input field
  3. Go to the other application. Select and copy the Username.

To capture a Password:

  1. Enable Remote Capture
  2. Click on the Password input field
  3. Go to the other application. Select and copy the Password.

The same procedure as show above can be used to import text to any other field on InteliPass.

Note: While Remote Capture is set to ON, text imported into a input field can not be modified until Remote Capture is turn back to OFF.

  Set Password

InteliPass comes with a password generation engine.

Passwords generated with InteliPass engine can be used either to protect InteliPass database and program from unauthorized use or for any other application where a password is needed.

The generator enables you to set up to three levels of protection.

The InteliPass database is encrypted by default with a custom algorithm.
If the default encryption is left untouched, the database (if stolen) can be transported to another computer, and opened with a copy of InteliPass.

You can create a custom password and set InteliPass to ask for it whenever some one attempts to open it or the database, the database can not be opened (if it was stolen for example) unless the right password is supplied.

You are not required to use the password generation engine. You can type the password you want into the Password input field.

The Password generation engine:

Level 1 ( 6 characters )
Level 2 ( 8 characters )
Level 3 ( configurable length )

To generate passwords:

  1. Click on Suggest.
  2. Chose the security level.
  3. Click on the Do button.

If you are not satisfied with a particular result, click the Do button again to generate a new word. Or change the security level and try again.

Once the password is generated, the resulting word will be shown in upper case. If you prefer lower case, click on the
Case button.
To copy the word to the clipboard, click on the
Copy button. There is no need to select the word.

Important:

Buttons:

There are 3 buttons on the right side of this screen.

Cancel
Reset
Accept

If you are using the generation engine to make a password to be used in another application, make sure to click Cancel when you want to close this screen. If you click on Accept and if the Protect selector is on any option other than None the program will understand you want to use that password to protect the program.

Password Expiration Date:

An expiration date can be set to terminate a password lifetime. This feature might increase local security depending on your particular needs. The program will alert you when the password expiration date has been reached, provided the program is running on that day and that you have set one. At that time you need to go back to the Set password screen to renew or set up a new password and expiration date.

What to Protect:
The Protect section sets your preferences for what part of the program are to be protected by the generated or typed password.

If
Program only is selected, the database will keep the default encrypted security. The program will ask for a password before opening.

If
Program and Database are selected, the database will be encrypted with the higher encryption method and the program will also ask for a password at startup.

If
None is selected, the program will open without asking for a password. The database will be protected by the default method.

  Cut, Copy, Paste
To prevent for loosing information, cut, copy and paste commands where not included on the Edit menu. If you need to cut, copy or paste information from or to InteliPass, the commands can be found on the mouse pop-up menu.
Click the right-button on your mouse and a pop up will appear showing those commands.
